Great hotel, greater manager. In Feb09 I landed in Tehran's airport with nothing but Mr Mousavi's phone number, and he was very helpful first in getting me to the hotel despite late hour and making my stay very pleasant with good advices and services like arranging taxi drivers to go to the ski resorts. Basic rooms, good breakfast, nice international clients. Anyway, I am thinking about going back in 2011 and thanksfully I found this website because I lost his phone number! Looking forward to another ski trip in Iran in the coming weeks!

Spending some nights in October and November 2010 in Firouzeh Hotel. Just as a stopover in Teheran before starting holidays and in the end for buying bargains for the family. Firouzeh Hotel is absolutely worth to consider for staying in Tehran. Mr. Moussavi, Manager of the hotel, is very helpful and friendly in all kind of questions about Tehran an surroundings. You can organize good drivers to the near mountains surroundings, you will get best advice for shopping gadgets for your family, etc. Rooms are clean and put in order every day, there's internet access in the hous, breakfast is within the price and you can order tea or coffee as well in the evening for resting in the lounge. Additionally the hotel is located well in the center of Tehran. Mr. Moussavi speaks excellent English. The best hotel on our 24 day trip in Iran with 8 hotels in total! The only bad thing was, that Mr. Moussavi was on holidays as we were landing in Tehran and nobody else of the hotel wanted to catch us up at the airport allthough it was promised - but as long as Mr. Moussavi is around, everything will go on in the way you like!

We both found this hotel clean and comfortable and definitly no complaints. The staff are friendly and Mr Mousavi speaks excellent english and has a wealth of information. The hotel also is in a pretty good location and walking distance to most of the major drawcards in iran. We'll saty here again when next in iran, highly recommended!

We had heard the reputation of Firouzeh hotel at Iran Hotel in Esfahan and came straight here once we arrived in Tehran. We found that this hotel was actually so nice with five-star hospitality. Especially the manager at the reception speaks English fluently and is so helpful. In addition, their wifi is very fast. We will stay here again when coming back to Tehran. Thank you very much for everything!

Hello everybody! New freeriding season starts in Iran! Let's make it a fire! I am a snowboarder from Ukraine. Last season in February me and two my friends-skiers arrived to Tehran from Ukraine for some freeriding. It was a real adventure for us. You know, Iran, so exotic and unknown. Terra incognita. The only place and the only hope for me was Firouseh Hotel, that I have learnt about from LonelyPlanet forum. And Mr. Mousavie. And it was the right choice. Just from IKIA we managed to find Amir Kabir Street and the hotel. Night portier (it was deep in the night) opened the door and found a room for us. The next morning I met Mr.Mousavie and he arranged taxi for us to Tachal. We got the fresh powder snow just in some hours after snowless Ukraine! The further the more. Mr.Mousavie discussed our plans and gave us a lot of very useful advices. He arranged a taxi for us to Dizin (fantastic powder!) and back, tickets to Esfahan for some sightseeng, taxi to Shemshak (thanks Ali the driver for the trip) and was so friendly and helpful that I realy couldn't imagine our trip without his kindly assistance. This February me and seven my friends are going to visit Iran. What d'you think who I address at first?

We were in Iran at February and traveled to Dizin, Isfahan, Yazd, Shiraz etc. and Firouzeh Hotel was our base in Tehran wherever we went! Mr. Mousavi is wonderful guy, he helped us very much in many questions. Firouzeh Hotel is hospitable and homely place (for tourists with no high requirements, like snowboarders) in south Tehran, close to center, Grand Bazaar and other interesting spots. Wish a best for hotel and Mr. Mousavi! :)

To reiterate a great plcae to stay and meet fellow travellers. Mr Mousavi is a fantastic help to everyone : arranging skiing trips, advising on currency exchange, booking train / bus tickets etc with nothing being too much trouble. There may be smarter hotels about but none will help you make more of your visit to Iran than the Firouzeh and Mr Mousavi

I am an Indonesian. I just came back to Jordan from Iran. I stayed 2 nites in Firouzeh Hotel in Tehran. The service was very good. Mr. Mousavi is the best hotel manager i've ever met (i've been travelling in many places, but he's the best!!!). He's very dedicated and extraordinarily helpful for the guest. He solved all my problems just like that. He arranged my impulsive travel to Esfahan from A to Z. He gave travel advices. He answered my cultural and religious related questions openly. He became my accountant, my travel guide, my cultural interface and my friend, of course! It's the first time for me to go to Iran and I was a little bit worried before i left, coz my friends gave me a lots of "warnings" about Iran. But Mr. Mousavi gave totally wrong impression from what people said (proven later by the other Iranians), ít's a very safe country with veeeery nice, generous and helpful people with very high hospitality (it reminds me of the people in Pakistan and Sudan). The Minister of Tourism in Iran should grant Mr. Mousavi a "Noble" price for bridging Iran and the people from the rest of the world who come first to this country. I think since Lonely Planet highly recommended this hotel and Mr. Mousavi to the travelers, lots of foreigners feel more comfortable to stay in this hotel at least for the first time going to Iran, this is exactly why i chose this hotel despite my office could get me to other more costy hotel. I have no doubt to recommend this hotel to anyone going to Iran!! Tasakor, Mr. Mousavi, khuda hafidz!

This is probably the best place in Tehran if you're not looking for high-end hotels. We were staying in Firouzeh for 3 nights this October. The atmosphere was incredible and despite our short stay we began to feel everything that is said about Mr Mousavi in this guetbook. Because of him the service here was definitely the best of all hotels we visited in Iran. We had only 3 weeks for our trip so unfortunately we couldn't stay longer in Tehran. Mr Mousavi did not just get us discounts for our flight, he also gave everyone a pair of home-made woollen socks in exchange to our very moderate gift! He said since we live in Estonia which is much colder than Iran we might need them. He was correct.:) Thank You!

Hey there. It is Mehrangiz from New York, USA. Hope you all well and doing great. I stayed in Firouzeh Hotel in Tehran for 10 days in May, 2008. I was warmly welcomed by the hotel manager Mr. Mousavi and the hotel crew. Mr. Mousavi speaks english, he helps you to plan your trip through Iran. Mr. Mousavi very enthusiasm is the personification of Iranian hospitality. I had a clean, confortable and affordable room with shower, basin, phone, cable tv/fridge and airconditioner. Not a luxury hotel of course, but clean, safe, affordable with a very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is located in busy section of Tehran, short walking distance of most of Tehran's museum, famous Bazar, Golestan Palace, National Jewle Museum , National Museum of Iran, close to market produce and short walk to Metro Station. I had an enjoyable stay at the hotel, all thanks to friendly staff and the hotel manager. Highly recommended, I will be back.

This is undoubtedly the best hotel in the Imam Khomeini Sq area, forget Hafez Hotel, forget Mashad Hotel, Shiraz Hotel and all the others around the corner, this is THE place to come and a great place to meet other fellow travellers as well. The hotel is clean, tidy and good value for money (AND a very generous breakfast) - and the power doesn't conk out like other places. On top of this, guests are fortunate to have the help of the legendary Mr Mousavi, who has made this hotel what it is. He helped me with visa issues, Farsi translations, bus tickets and being a friendly person to talk about Iran, Iranian people, culture and way of life. Compliments also to the other staff at the hotel, friendly and professional. If this online guestbook isn't glowing enough, there are truckloads of other wonderful testimonials in the hard copy version at the hotel from people all over the world who've stayed here and returned time and time again. Enjoy!

Mr Mousavi from Ferozeh hotel certainly made my stay in Iran a great one. Without his kind help in arranging to help with my finances, (because of the inability to withdraw cash due to international sanctions) I would have had to fly back disappointed at not being able to see beautiful Iran. Mr Mousavi is definitely one of the most hospitable people i've met. Keeping in mind that I was not even staying at his hotel, he nevertheless made sure that I was comfortable and had whatever was necessary for my trip. I sincerely thank him for his kindness and highly recommend tourists to stay at Ferozeh Hotel.

Hey there, It's Edmund from Malaysia. :-) Hope you're doing great! I stayed here at Firouzeh's just a week ago, for seven days. Not only is the price affordable, what further impressed me was how kind and hospitable the hotel manager was (thanks Mr. Moosavi!) Having been around Tehran for a full week - exploring places and seeing people - I have to say that it's nothing quite like what the western media had painted the nation to be. People here are friend, kind, sociable, and easy to trust. Tehran has a number of awesome places and I had the privilege to visit some of them -- The Grand Bazaar, Vali Asr, Tochal, and more to name. Way to go Mr. Moosavi and Co.! :-) -- Edmund Loh, Malaysia http://www.edmundloh.name/

During our trip to Iran in 2006 we stayed at the Firouzeh Hotel three times. Each visit we were warmly welcomed by Mr Mousavi and his staff and made to feel at ease. Don't, as we did, wait until the last day to try some of the homecooked vegetarian dishes. Generous serves of some of the most nourishing and delicious food we ate in Iran. Our rooms were simple but always very clean and comfortable. The hotel is situated off a busy road full of mechanic shops however just two minutes walk away is a street with wonderful maket produce and the best ice cream! Also being a short walk to the metro station it is ideally situated. Highly recommended. We'll be back.
